Fusion bellydance artist Anasma

Cross-training in Bellydance and other forms (Hip Hop, Acting, Miming, Gymnastics, Yoga, DeRose Method, Salsa, Wushu, Flamenco, Modern Jazz, Contemporary Simonson technique, African...), Anasma focuses on making Dance meaningful and touching through storytelling , character development and movement. Member of the famous Bellyqueen ensemble, Anasma became a worldwide known name in the Bellydance Superstars tours.

Of Tunisian and Vietnamese descend and raised in Paris, France, Anasma developped mixing art forms to express who she is through performance and teaching.

Some of Anasma's special styles are: Salsa Bellydance Fusion, Hip Hop Bellydance, Liquid Fusion featuring "Michael Jackson's shimmies and undulations". Her worshops focus on expressive bellydance using emotions, gestural movement, character development and storytelling in dance. Some of the stories used are: "the snake" and "the beauty and the beast".

Mixing Hip Hop, Bellydance Liquid fusion, Wushu bellydance, Salsa bellydance into World Dance fusions. Balancing between the ethnic and the urban components of her personal background and her present life, creates a unique, but natural Anasma blend.

In the beauty of diversity is unity. Anasma has a universal way seeing things. Her philosophy is: "All is One. Everybody is connected, ideas circulate, everything is recycled. There is only a new way of seeing the same thing."

Connection is the keyword in everything she does, and that reflects of course in her teaching and shows.
