Fusion bellydance artist Zoe Zakes

Her unexpected twists, stunning vocabulary of movements and sometimes extravagant use of props on stage clearly mark Zoe Zakes unique style.

Together with composers,producers and performers David Satori on violin and Tommy Cappel on drums, Zoe forms the band Beats antique. Zoe Zakes stands for a impressing live performance with live musicians. Using burleque and still keeping an oriental flavour, someone got to do it! Being as well a member of the Indigo together with Rachel Brice and Mardi Love, she toured the world with the Bellydance superstars as well as giving "Zoe Zakes" workshops, doesn't leave her much time to be a house cat.

As a true innovative tribal fusion belly dance artist, Zoe Zakes incorporates elements of burleque tango, hiphop and classical Indian dance like kathak.

She became a member of the Suhaila dance company of Suhaila Salimpour in 2001 and in 2005 joined the Bellydance Superstars and the Indigo.
